What is the slope of the equation y=5/4x-7/4?

Hi there!
The slope of this line is 5/4. In a linear formula in standard form y = ax + b the 'a' represents the slope of the line. In other words: in a linear formula in above form, the slope is the number in front of x.
Hence, the slope is 5/4 = 1 1/4
