Lisa runs 10 miles in 75 minutes. At the same rate, how many miles would she run in 69 minutes?

I would set this up as a ratio:
[tex] \frac{10}{75} = \frac{x}{69} [/tex]

From here on, you solve for x. To do so, you can cross multiply:
[tex]690=75x[/tex]
[tex]x = \frac{690}{75} = 9.2 [/tex]

So, Lisa can run 9.2 miles in 69 minutes.
