China played a big role in diverting the attention of Japan towards them enabling the allied forces to act in different theaters and parts of Asia. It also diverts a lot of resources of Japan against the Chinese mainland left other conquered territories insufficient to stop allied landings and invasion towards the Japanese Home Islands.
