When you solve for y = you get y = 1/5x + 12/5. The number attached on the end is always the y-intercept.

If you were to solve for y you would get :
x + 5 = 12
0 + 5 = 12 or y = x/5 + 12/5

This means your Y intercept Is 12/5 If you're using a graph it's (0,12/5)

Also, a tip for finding Y is the number at the end is Y ;)
