Use a t-chart to convert from grams to moles.  There are 162.195g of FeCl3 in 1 mol of FeCl3 (add up all the MW). 1.1g FeCl3/162.195(g/mol) = .006782 mol FeCl3

Molar mass FeCl3= 162 g/mol.

1.1 g FeCl3* (1 mol FeCl3/ 162 g FeCl3)= 6.8*10^(-3) mol FeCl3.

The final answer is 6.8*10^(-3) mol FeCl3~
