Brian is going clothes shopping. He buys one t-shirt for $10 and “x” amount of shorts for $5 each, in total he spent $30. Solve for “x”

Brian bought 4 pairs of shorts. so x equals four.
to get the answer you subtract 10 from 30 which gives you 20, then you divide 20 by 5, which gives you four.
