Donatello is mostly known for his unbelievable sculptures and art. In his early life, Donatello aided with another sculptor, Lorenzo Ghiberti to help construct what is called the cathedral doors (great bronze doors). His sculptures usually go in the line of a Gothic-style (which was favored during his period). A few years later, he gave up his Gothic-style and moved on to classical. Right before he passed away, he also assisted other sculptors to create tombs.
