Brian reduced the size of a rectangle to a height of 2 in. What is the new Width if it was originally 24 in wide and 12 in tall

The rectangle used to have a height of 12 and went to 2.

12/6= 2 

He reduced the rectangle by a factor of 6.

So,

Divide the width (24) by 6 to get the new width.

24/6= 4

The height is 2 and the new width is 4.
