To solve for y-intercept you want to get the y on one side of the equation.

In this case it is
7y= 42x-7 (I added 42x to both aide and subtracted 6)

Then you divide both side by 7 to get

y=6x-1

In this equation, the y intercept is -1.

Hope this helps you!!
