Why is evolution considered a theory

We consider evolution as a theory because we don't fully understand the concept of evolution yet. Although there are many laws that state many things about evolution and are true, it doesn't represent evolution as a whole topic from how animals came to be and humans for example. We don't fully know or understand how it happened and how we got here.
