product means multiply

the 2 numbers are x and y

the product is 40
xy=40

one is 5/8
x=5/8

(5/8)(y)=40
multipl both sides by 8/5
(40/40)(y)=(40)(8/5)
(1)(y)=320/5
y=64

the other number is 64
