Animals take energy from other organisms to make their own energy inside of their cells. Once the animal consumes the organism, it is broken down and distributed to the body. Plants use specific cells to make their food by absorbing the suns rays in a process called photosynthesis. And Cells make energy out of the nutrients distributed to them via the blood stream.
