Hello,

For the distance formula of
[tex] \sqrt{(x2-x1)^{2} + (y2-y1)^{2} } [/tex]

the order of the coordinates does not matter. This is because [tex](x2 - x1) [/tex] and [tex](y2 - y1) [/tex] are being squared, so whether the difference is negative or positive, in the end the value will be the same as it is being squared (squared values are always positive (ignoring 0)).

Hope this helps!
