A solar eclipse can only take ace during a new moon.

This is because during the new moon phase, the moon is positioned between the sun and the earth, allowing for a solar eclipse. This means that a solar eclipse happens 2 times a month. A full solar eclipse, however, is much more rare since the moon's rotation around earth is tilted, making a full alignment infrequent.
