The absolute value symbol (that being when a number has the 2 lines on the outside |-x| simply makes whatever is inside of it positive after it has been solved. Therefore, the easiest way to think about it is without the absolute value signs at all and just assume every number is positive. When we do this, we can see that the correct answer is C. |-3.5|, |4.2|, |-9|.
