I disagree with the question in Tinker v. Des Moines Independent School District (1969) they sided with the students within reason, some speech such as obscenities is not protected. In West Side Community Schools v. Mergens (1990) they ruled that schools that allows clubs can not ban clubs with a political or religious theme
