For this you can use the formula of slope: y2-y1/x2-x1

x1 is -3, y1 is -8, x2 is 5, y2 is 6

6- -8 ( two negatives become positive)
6+8=14

5- -3 ( same as before)
5+3=8

so the slope is 14/8
