Steve drew an isosceles trapezoid with a height of 5 cm and bases of 12 cm and 6 cm.

What is the area of the trapezoid drawn by Steve?

The area of a trapezoid is given by the formula

A= (Base 1 + Base 2)* (Height/2)

In this case, the area of the trapezoid is

A= (12+6)*(5/2) = 45 cm^2.
