For most children, the ability to recognize oneself in the mirror occurs around 18 and a half months. Towards their growth, they actually start to self-admire and feel embarrassed at 12 months, and between 14-20 months they demonstrate avoidance behaviours. As they continue to age to 20-24 months their self-recognition also improves to 65%
