why and how does the skeletal system interact with the digestive system?

The skeletal System cannot produce its own calcium to strengthen itself. It depends on the digestive system. When we eat food that contains calcium and phosphorus, the body breaks the food down into smaller molecules that can be absorbed by the body into the bloodstream..
