When your body breaks down sugar completely, how much heat is released compared to burning the same amount of sugar in a flame?

The heat that is released when sugar is broken down in the body would be the equal amount of heat released as when burning the same amount of sugar in a flame. There would be no difference since the reactions are totally the same. Hope this helps.
