Why does pumice float

It is made out of volcanic materials and many bubbles form with in it. The space in between the bubble and the density overall is less thick than a lot of rocks, and the bubbles cause it to float

If your talking about 'float', as in water, then its because it's density is less than 1.0g/cm3 / that of water.
