Their population would increase as there wouldn’t be any predator eating the rabbits. This means many rabbits can survive & reproduce successfully

A lot would happen long term, but short term, their population would explode.

Explanation:
Long term, the rabbit population would first grow out of control, then a new natural predator or sickness/lack of food and space would kill off most of the rabbits till they get back to a controlled number.
