The curve of the earth keeps the equator from getting hotter and hotter.

What is The equator?

This is the middle of the earth that divides the earth into the North and the south.

The reason why is that although sunlight hits the earth at the equator, the way that the earth is curved helps to ensure that the sunlight is more wide spread.
