The way we will write 1 in = 2.53 cm as a function is; f(x) = 2.54x cm

Linear Functions

We are given the statement;

1 inches = 2.54cm

Now, if we have say 3 inches to convert to cm, it mean that we will have;

3 × 2.5 = 7.62 cm

Now, as a function if we have x inches to convert to cm, it means that the function will be;

f(x) = 2.54x cm
