The length of a rectangle is 9 cm more than its width. The perimeter is 82 cm. Find the length of the rectangle.

Answer:

25cm.

Length = x+9

width = x

Perimeter = 2*width + 2*length

Perimeter = x+x+x+9+x+9

Perimeter = 4x+18=82

                        -18   -18

4x=64

x=16 cm.

Length = x+9

16+9= 25cm.
