From what I've seen it works the same way. As y=1+2x and y=2x+1 is the same. It has the same slope and same y-intercept however you just switched the places of each one. It is still the same regardless of where the values are placed however if you were to put 1=2x+y then it would be something completely different resulting in your values being negative depending on how you isolated y.
