area of the floor = length     x   width

                           = 400 cm   x   250 cm

                           = 100 000 cm²

5 m²  = 5  x  10 000 cm² =  50 000 cm²

number of pots needed = area of floor   ÷  area covered by one pot

                                        = 100 000 cm²  ÷  50 000 cm²

                                        =  2 pots
