Adaptation is the physical or behavioral characteristic of an organism that helps an organism to survive better in the surrounding environment.
Example:
A camel has many adaptions to help it survive in the desert. They can drink 20 liters of water in just a few minutes and store all of it in their stomach. They also produce very little urine. They have long eyelashes to protect from blowing sand and the sun. Their nostrils can also be closed to keep out dust.
