The slope-intercept form of the function that contains the point (–3, 2) and has a slope of –2 is y = -2x - 4.

if you have a point and a slope then the formula looks like this,

Y=2x + b through point (3,4)

replace the "Y" and "X" in the equation with the numbers on the point. (put the x coordinate for the X and the Y coordinate for the Y)
