Okay so
5x-2y=14
2y=5x-14
y=(5x-14)/2
2x-y=5
y=2x-5
2(2x-5)=5x-14
4x-10=5x-14
x=4

y=(5[4]-14)/2
y=(20-14)/2
y=6/2
y=3

Answer: x=4, y=3
