x = 8y
xy = 40 ( x + y )
xy = 40x + 40y
8y(y) = 40(8y) + 40y
8y^2 - 32y - 40y = 0
8y^2 = 72
y^2 = 9
y = 3 , y = - 3

x = 8(3)
x = 24

y = 3
