Let the side of the cube be x.

Volume = length × width × height

For a cube:

Length = width = height

Therefore :

X³ = 2197

X = ∛2197

= 13

The side of the cube = 13cm

Area = length × width

Length = width = 13cm

Area = 13 × 13 = 169

= 169 cm²
