Multiply both the numerator and the denominator by the same number and you'll get an equivalent fraction. For example, 3/5 times 2/2 equals 6/10, which is an equivalent fraction to 3/5. Multiply both by 8, and you have 24/40, which is also equivalent to 3/5. I hope this helped you tremendously!
