Abigail Adams showed power because John trusted her. They were like best friends. He listened to her word and believed she made good educated calls. Much trust was instilled in her, and she was a highly respected women during her time due to her being educated. Even though still having a domestic roll, she still was given respect. She payed attention to the evolving country and developed her opinion and observed much of what was going on. She helped John Adams through much of her career
