Given g(x) = 2x + 3, solve for when g(x) = 3.

g(x)=2x+3

g(x)=3

use the substitution for g(x)

g(3)=2(3)+3

do the parenthesis first because of PEMDAS

P= parenthesis

E= exponents

M= multiplication

D=  division

A= addition

S= subtraction

g(3)=2(3)+3

g(3)=6+3

g(3)=9

g(3)=9
