Answer: i would think: Farmers in Southern and northern basins of china grew a variety of different crops, the farmers there grew the crops for food, some types of crops they grew and harvested were,  rice, wheat, corn, soybeans and tuber crops. but rice was the most common crop they  grew and ate.
