Basically, take notes as you read whatever story you were given. Use the given list of techniques (i.e. section in your question) and even look up other writing techniques that seem to be valid in your story. Write down or type the exact example of whatever writing technique you noticed and be sure to label all of them with what literature technique they are so you and your teacher aren't confused when looking it all over.
