distribute, so you would get y=-2x+2^2 
remember PEMDAS Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication/Division left to right, Addition/Subtraction left to right.
so y=-2x+4
4 is your y intercept. plot a point on the y axis at 4
and your slope would be -2/1
so down 2, right 1
