g(x) = 2x          h(x) = x² + 4

h(g(x)) = h(2x)

h(x) = x² + 4

h(2x) = (2x)² + 4 = 4x² + 4

hg(1):

hg(x) = h(g(x)) = 4x² + 4

hg(1) = 4*1² + 4 = 4 + 4 = 8

hg(1) = 8
