and we know A = 16pi

All we need to do is find the square root of pi, which is 4. 4*4 = 16.

So, the radius of the circle is 4.

Answer:

The combined area of two circles with the same radius is  2  πr². The area of a circle with twice the radius is  4  πr². The combined area of two circles is  not the same as the area of a circle with twice the radius.
