To find an equivalent expression to −4(x − 1) + 2 we can use the distributive property.

For Example, A(B + C) = AB + AC

= -4(x - 1) + 2

= (-4 * x) + (-4 * -1) + 2

= -4x + 4 + 2

= -4x + 6

Best of Luck!
