The missing length of the triangle is 8.1 cm.

Solution:

Given triangle ACB is a right triangle.

AC = 4 cm, BC = 7 cm.

To find the length of AB:

Using Pythagoras theorem,

In right triangle, square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.

[tex]AB^2=AC^2+BC^2[/tex]

[tex]AB^2=4^2+7^2[/tex]

[tex]AB^2=16+49[/tex]

[tex]AB^2=65[/tex]

Taking square root on both sides.

AB = 8.06

AB = 8.1

The missing length of the triangle is 8.1 cm.
