1 find the area in square meters of a rectangle whose
[i] length 5.5m breadth 2.4m
[ii] length 180cm breadth 150cm

For part i)

5.5 x 2.4 = 13.2

Units are already in metres so no conversions necessary

For part ii)

180 cm = 1.8m
150 cm = 1.5m

Therefore 1.8 x 1.5 = 2.7 metres squared
