using,
1+cot^2 x = csc^2 x
1+ (5/12)^2 = csc^2 x
1+25/144 = csc^2 x = (144+25)/144 = 169/144
csc x = sqrt (169/144) = 13/12

sin x  = 1/ csc x = 1/(13/12) = 12/13 is your answer :)
