What would occur if a fetus's chorion tissue ruptured?

If a fetus's chorion tissue is ruptured it would damage the material tissue of the placenta and would cause bleeding. The placenta is responsible for distributing the nutrients, oxygen and removing the waste of the fetus. If this were to happen, in the worst case scenario this would abort the baby.
