How did lady Seymour treat Isabel differently than madam lockton

Lady Seymour is Mr. Lockton's aunt. Madam Lockton tolerates her because of the inheritance the Locktons that she will receive when she dies. Though Lady Seymour still treats Isabel as a slave, she affords her more respect and kindness than she does with Madam. She gives Isabel money and urges her to escape from Madam Lockton.
