2.GPS: Guided Problem Solving Find the perimeter of a right triangle with legs of 6 cm and 8 cm.​

To find the third side (hypotenuse) use the Pythagorean theorem:

h^2 = 6^2 + 8^2
h^2 = 36 + 64
h^2 = 100
h = 10

Now add all three sides to get the perimeter:

P = 6 + 8 + 10 = 24cm
