∴ [H⁺] = √Ka.C = √(1.74 x 10⁻⁵)(0.16 M) = 2.784 x 10⁻⁶ M.

∴ pH = - log[H⁺] = - log(2.784 x 10⁻⁶ M) = 5.555.
