One of the most significants contributions George Washington had was the leadership he established. He was able to guide people in challenging times and he provided the model of a great leader. Another contributuon was that he was able to defend the ideas of a particular political group even though it meant that he should dislike another ideas. Finally, he contributed to the defence of America from being pushed up by other countries.
